The Turkmen alabays bred for many centuries in the Turkmen expanses and nursed to a high level of perfection, which are the elite among other dog breeds, are the national pride and heritage of our people. Thanks to the tireless cares of the Dear President, great activities are being consistently implemented in our country. By the initiative of our Esteemed President, creation of Association “Turkmen Alabay” on the 1st of May, 2020, holding the 1st meeting of the Assosiation “Turkmen Alabay” on the 7th of May, 2020, the year of “Turkmenistan – Homeland of Neutrality”, show to the world the high levels Turkmen dog breeders have achieved. It is clear from the activities that take place in our country that high attention is paid to dog breeders.

Despite the fact that Turkmen dogs have large heads, strong bodies and legs like those of a bear they are very kind to a man.
Turkmen alabays are the embodiment of such valuable qualities highly appreciated by Turkmen people as bravery, courage, loyalty, and restraint.
Our ancestors spared no efforts to develop such alabay’s qualities as loyalty and vigilance. Looking at alabay makes us feel happy.
Turkmen Alabay dogs are a symbol of loyalty, protection and well-being. For many centuries they have served as defenders of the family hearth and faithful companions for our ancestors.
Alabay is an integral part of the life of our Motherland. It is the national treasure created by our ancestors. It is our duty to preserve it and hand it down to our future generations.
Both, in the past and nowadays alabays, which are considered to be the friends and helpers of a man,were and still are of a great importance in the life of Turkmen people.It can be proved by their scent,vigilance,loyalty and ability to be a close friend of a man.It is impossible to imagine Turkmen people and their glorious history without alabays.
One of the priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan, consistently implemented by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is the preservation and popularization of the historical and cultural national heritage in the world. An important aspect of the large-scale work carried out in this area is the development of the selection of Turkmen alabay and an increase in the number of this unique breed.
The contribution of our Hero-Arkadag to the study of our thousand-year history, to the achievement of our national values, to their preservation like the apple of an eye is immeasurable. This clearly indicates that all activities carried out in our country are carried out under the lofty slogan "State for the people!"
