On April 21, 2021, the opening ceremony of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding and the Center of the International Association “Turkmen Alabay” took place in the capital. The center will become a worthy contribution to the large-scale work carried out in Turkmenistan under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to preserve, learn and disseminate the rich heritage of the nation. The next meeting of the International Association “Turkmen Alabay” was also held here.
According to the relevant Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, this holiday will be annually celebrated on the last Sunday of April, together with the National Day of Turkmen Horse. On the ground floor of the central building there is a museum, where unique statues of Akhal-Teke horses, which are known all over the world, and alabay sculptures showing their characteristic features are presented, carpets with the image of Akhal-Teke horses and alabay are also displayed, and a carpet on which is embroidered with the poem of our Heroic Arkadag “Turkmen Alabay”.
It should be noted that the center has a rich book fund. The library is fully computerized. This provides readers with access to the resources of electronic library, scientific and methodological literature. There are also periodicals dedicated to Akhal-Teke horses and Alabay. In addition, there is an opportunity to get acquainted with the special sites of the library, which publish printed publications, articles published in the magazines “Heavenly Akhal-Teke Horses” and “Exemplary Turkmen Alabay” and other interesting information. The trilingual website of the library is daily updated with information about Akhal-Teke horses and the Turkmen Alabay, as well as works of folklore, various legends from the works of the head of state are regularly published. The library has introduced innovative technologies and a digital system. This contributes to an increase in the number of readers of the library. Thus, all the necessary conditions have been created here for the effective work of specialists in the field of horse breeding and dog breeding, as well as conditions for increasing the level of knowledge of scientists about Akhal-Teke horses and the Turkmen Alabay. On the second floor of the building, the work premises of the center are equipped with the necessary equipment for the effective work of personnel, they have computers and other related equipment at their disposal. The conference hall and specialized rooms are specially equipped to meet modern requirements, where you can hold meetings, other events and international forums, including international online meetings, organize important conferences, making them available to the whole world through digital systems. At the same time, the necessary conditions are created for effective work and the use of modern technologies.
Moving on to other issues of the 1st meeting of the International Association “Turkmen Alabay”, amend the words of the Charter of the Association “Head of the Association” and “Deputy Head of the Association” to replace the words “President of the Association” and “Vice President of the Association”, proposals were also put forward to create an award “Ýylyň türkmen edermen alabaýy”f or the winner of the international competition organized by the International Association “Turkmen Alabay”, According to the results of voting by the forum participants, these proposals were unanimously supported.
