On April 21, 2021, in Ashgabat, in the meeting hall of the International Ahal-Teke Horse Association and the Central Office of the International Association "Turkmen Alabai", the first meeting of the International Dog Association "Turkmen Alabai" was held. It was attended by heads and representatives of a number of ministries and departments, public organizations, mass media of our country, members of the International Association "Turkmen Alabai" in the regions and in Ashgabat, as well as through live broadcast foreign members of the association.

  Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber of Turkmenistan, President of the International Association of Ahal-Teke Horses, President of the International Association "Turkmen Alabai" Berdimuhamedov Serdar Gurbangulyevich warmly congratulated the meeting participants on the National Day of the Turkmen Horse and the Day of the Turkmen Alabay.

  Having announced the agenda of the meeting, the head of the association said that a number of organizational issues related to the work of this international organization would be considered, and the forthcoming tasks of the organization would be discussed.

  Continuing his speech, Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that under the wise leadership of the Esteemed President, in order to proclaim the glory of the national heritage of the Turkmen people - heavenly horses and Turkmen alabays, this year for the first time the National Day of the Turkmen Horse and the Day of the Turkmen Alabay are celebrated together. The Turkmen Alabai, which have become a treasury of universal values ​​for centuries, were bred and developed on the Turkmen land, are widely known throughout the world for their peculiarity and are considered one of the oldest and best dog breeds. Turkmen Alabai, just like our Ahal-Teke horses, comparable to heavenly beauty, like Turkmen carpets, which are a living legend of the earth, are our national pride and heritage. Turkmen Alabai are widely known all over the world for their devotion to the owner, courage and fearlessness. Afterwards, the head of the association emphasized that in the work of the Esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Turkmen Alabay", it is said: "Alabay is our national pride. Alabai is the wealth of our Motherland. This is a national value created by our ancestors. It is our duty to preserve it and pass it on to our future generations in all its splendor. " 

At the initiative of the National Leader, large-scale work is being carried out in our country today to develop fame and authority all over the world, to protect, breed and seed the national heritage of the Turkmen Alabai, as well as to develop works in this area at the international level. All conditions have been created for a thorough study on a scientific basis of the historical origin of these works, their origins to the present day and national characteristics. Turkmen Alabay is becoming an international symbol of friendship and loyalty.

In order to further expand work on the Turkmen Alabai and unite the efforts of specialists involved in the preservation and breeding of these dogs, the International Association "Turkmen Alabai" has been established in our country. However, in a short time, the number of foreign members of this prestigious organization, along with Turkmen members, increased and acquired an international status.

  Thanks to the active support of the Distinguished President and the attention paid to the preservation and development of Turkmen dog breeding, which has become an integral part of world culture, breeding of Turkmen Alabai, conducting their selective seed-growing activities and preserving it for future generations, as well as teaching young people exemplary breeding techniques of the Turkmen Alabai, and with the aim of encouraging our scientists of dog breeding, making their significant contribution to mentoring, the honorary titles "Honored Dog Breeder of Turkmenistan", "People's Dog Breeder of Turkmenistan" have been created.

In addition, in accordance with the Decree of the esteemed President, in order to further raise the world fame of the Turkmen Alabay, develop and improve the national dog breeding, in our country, on the last Sunday of April, it is planned to hold the National Day of the Turkmen Horse and the Day of the Turkmen Alabay. At the same time, Serdar Berdimuhammedov noted that in our country every April, on the occasion of the holiday of the Turkmen Alabay, it was decided to hold an international competition “Brave Turkmen Alabay of the Year” among the Turkmen Alabay, as well as a competition of carpet weavers, artists, sculptors, photographers, publishers and television operators by depicting the appearance of the Turkmen alabay in works of art, publishings, photographs and television programs. In this regard, they expressed confidence that the creation by our state of such opportunities for our dog breeders will give a great impetus to the development of the Turkmen Alabay breed, which is considered one of the oldest dogs in our country and in the world.

With the establishment of the International Association "Turkmen Alabai" in our country, we are entrusted with a number of obligations to breed these dogs in the future, maintain the purity of their breed and ensure their wide popularity throughout the world. Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the necessary work is being actively carried out in our country aimed at growing and breeding the Turkmen alabay, conducting selective seed-growing activities, improving and fundamental scientific research, holding high-level exhibitions and competitions of the Turkmen alabay in the country and abroad.

  As emphasized, the unique characteristics, character and devotion of the Alabai are widespread throughout the world; The main tasks of the Association are to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with the parties involved in the breeding and protection of the Turkmen Alabai breed in foreign countries. In this regard, the President of the International Association "Turkmen Alabai" expressed sincere gratitude to the Dear President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the unique opportunities created for the cultivation and breeding of Turkmen Alabai dogs and increasing their world prestige.

  Referring to other issues on the agenda, Serdar Berdimuhammedov amended the Charter of the Organization, replacing the words "Chairman of the Association" and "Deputy Chairman of the Association" with the words "President of the Association" and "Vice President of the Association", and put forward a proposal to create a medal "Brave Turkmen Alabay of the year ”for the winner of the international competition organized by the International Association“ Turkmen Alabai ”and approval of its Regulations and Records, acceptance of new, both local and foreign members of the Association, as well as holding the next II meeting of the Association in the first half of 2022 in Ashgabat. Based on the results of voting by the meeting participants, these proposals were unanimously supported.

  Then, on the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse and the Day of the Turkmen Alabay, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the ceremony of awarding the distinguished horse breeders and dog breeders of the country with state awards and honorary titles "People's Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan", "Professional Rider-Mentor of Turkmenistan", "Honored Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan "and " Honored Dog Breeder of Turkmenistan ". With great pride and inexhaustible excitement, they received their well-deserved awards, expressed sincere gratitude to our esteemed President for the high appreciation of their work and assured him that they would continue to make unwavering efforts to make a worthy contribution to this noble cause.

She read out the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan on conferring the honorary title "Honored Dog Breeder of Turkmenistan" in honor of the Turkmen Alabay holiday to the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber, head of the International Ahal-Teke Horse Association and the International Association "Turkmen Alabai" Serdar Gurbangulyevich Berdimuhamedov. In a solemn atmosphere, under loud applause of the meeting participants, the head of the International Association "Turkmen Alabai" was awarded a medal and a diploma.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed sincere gratitude to the esteemed President for the high assessment of his work. Under the reasonable leadership of the Turkmen leader, the International Association "Turkmen Alabai" was created, designed to carry the glory of the Turkmen Alabay, which is the national value and wealth of our people. Thus, a solid foundation of the industry for the cultivation and development of the Turkmen alabay has been formed in our country.   In the future, we will tirelessly work together with the members of this international organization to effectively use the opportunities created by the esteemed President and successfully fulfill the tasks set before the Association to further increase the glory of the Turkmen alabay, Serdar Berdimuhammedov noted and wished the esteemed President good health, long life and success in work for the benefit of our people and the prosperity of our country.

At the beginning of his speech, he sincerely congratulated the participants of the event on the solemn dates and events celebrated this year under the slogan "Turkmenistan - Homeland of Peace and Trust" - the 30th anniversary of the sacred independence of our country and the 140th anniversary of the city of Ashgabat, as well as other national holidays and opening in honor of them in the capital of the modern center of the International Association of Ahal-Teke horses and the center of the International Association "Turkmen Alabai".

  The book of the Turkmen leader "Turkmen Alabay" serves as a reference for the study, modern restoration and popularization of the Turkmen Alabay, which is our historical heritage. Numerous archaeological finds during excavations, as well as ancient manuscripts, testify to the antiquity and origin of this breed. As noted in this magnificent work, the national practice of breeding the Turkmen Alabai, the ancient methods of ethnography are worthy of inclusion in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. He noted that the book reveals the huge contribution of the Turkmen people to world culture and the development of human civilization.

  Then the floor was given to Professor Murat Kibara, Vice-Chancellor of Artvin Coruh University, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences of the Republic of Turkey, who attended the meeting via video link. Murat Kibar congratulated everyone on the upcoming holiday of the Turkmen Alabai, as well as on the opening of the modern center of the International Association of Ahal-Teke horses and the center of the International Association "Turkmen Alabai".

  Since the establishment of the International Association "Turkmen Alabai", a large-scale work has been carried out in the last short period of time. As part of the festive events, for the first time in Turkmenistan, an international competition "Brave Turkmen Alabai of the Year" was held. Murat Kibar wished all members of the association every success in their noble cause.

  Then, as a result of the positive state policy pursued by the distinguished President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, private scientist Mekan Gurbandurdyev, a member of the International Association "Turkmen Alabai", stressed that large-scale work is being carried out in our country to restore the glorious history, ancient traditions and culture of the Turkmen people, distribution around the world and transmission to present and future generations.   Creation of the International Association "Turkmen Alabai", commissioning of a complex of buildings of the economic society "Turkmen Alabai" in Ahal velayat, as well as veterinary services and a specialized complex for keeping pets, construction of centers for Turkmen Alabayev in the city of Ashgabat, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary velayats is a vivid evidence of constant care for the alabai, which is a national treasure of our people, thus these works give positive results.

  Expressing his sincere gratitude to the distinguished President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the constant care of the Turkmen horses and alabay, which are an invaluable asset of our people, M. Gurbandurdyev wished the Turkmen leader good health, long life and great success in his work as head of state.

The initiatives of the distinguished President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, aimed at the development of dog breeding and high appreciation of the work of specialists working in this area, contribute to the increase of the prestige of this area. Akobir Shukurov expressed his readiness to closely cooperate with the members of the association and wished them success in their work to increase the number of Turkmen Alabai and their worldwide fame.

  Then the head of the Association of Caucasian Breeds Lovers of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Gazimzade made a video link. Addressing the participants, he stressed the importance of the work aimed at preserving the national heritage of Turkmenistan carried out under the leadership of the distinguished President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. An important event in this regard was the creation of the International Association "Turkmen Alabai" with headquarters in Ashgabat. On behalf of all fans of the Turkmen alabay, Ilham Gazimzade thanked the Turkmen leader for his comprehensive support for the work of the organization, congratulated the participants of today's conference on the holiday of the Turkmen alabay and wished them success in their work.

  Then the President of the International Association "Turkmen Alabai" Berdimuhammedov Serdar Gurbangulyevich signed a decree on amending the Charter of the International Association "Turkmen Alabai", the establishment of the "Brave Turkmen Alabai" medal, on the approval of the Regulations and Records of this medal, on admission to the International Association "Turkmen Alabai" New domestic and foreign members, as well as the holding of the next II meeting of the Association in Ashgabat in the first half of 2022.
